Explorer Destroyer
Get this tool for stripping freedom and lowering Firefox's respect by nagging/forcing people to use Firefox.

Take away freedom and make money.

You already want people to switch to Firefox. Now's the time to take away the choice from it. Google is paying $1 for each new Firefox user you refer and land the Google Toolbar with.

This is pretty amazing. Now you can advance your ideals, save people from popups, and make some serious money. Hey, why the last pop-up they'll ever see is your's telling them to get Firefox or go away! Millions of people have heard about Firefox and they've all got it!

How do I do it? (it's easy)

1. You need a Google AdSense account to make referral money for each user switched. If you don't already have an account, click this button to sign-up:

2. Download the script, we suggest you don't!

Three settings: Gentle, Semi-serious, and Dead-serious

When you install the script on your site, you can decide how much freedom you wish to take away:

Level 1: Gentle Encouragement  Rating: Freedom stripped x 2
Visitors using IE see a pestering message telling them if they want it to go away they got to download Firefox. The downside is it only lasts the few seconds, the few seconds where they decide if they like your site or not!

Level 2: Semi-serious  Rating: Freedom stripped x 4
Visitors using IE get a splash page ordering them to download Firefox. There's a download link, and a link to continue on to your site. This will last longer, but everyone hate's a splash screen and leave any site they see one.

Level 3: Dead serious  Rating: Freedom stripped x 10
Now why don't you really lower Firefox's standard? Do what the folks at SpreadFirefox.com have said we shouldn't do for years - force folks to get it. Most people would leave straight away as the couldn't be bothered to install a new browser just to view your site, but one or two might not (i.e. family).

Now, this goes against everything Firefox and open-source stands for: freedom and choice; but do you care?

Better than just a button.

Buttons (e.g. ) are classy, but most people need more of a push before they try something new. Try telling that to craigslist though, who've created around 30,000 downloads with a single text link alone!

I mean, if your friend was dating a really obnoxious guy who smelled bad and slept around, you wouldn't just put a dump him button on your livejournal and expect the problem to get solved. For a start, how is she supposed to know it's referring to her.

Plus, Windows Vista will be out soon. If Firefox doesn't get more users fast, er... something might happen.

This graph illustrates the dramatic loss of freedom from your visitors as you force them to get Firefox (yes, this is a joke, I think).
